Welcome to the Long Island Guitar Festival Web site. In 2018 we will be celebrating our 26th season. Please continue to visit these pages for more information about Festival 2018 as it becomes available.

The 26th annual Long Island Guitar Festival will take place April 10 to 15. Scheduled performers include Berta Rojas, Rene Izquierdo, Cavatina Duo (with Rene Izquierdo replacing Denis Azabagic due to a physical injury), The Newman & Oltman Guitar Duo, Alexandra Yannis Guitar Duo, Simon Powis, James Erickson, Michael Roberts, Laura Lessard, The Artesian Guitar Quartet, and Harris Becker.

Please note: due to unforeseen circumstances Berta Rojas' concert on April 15 will be held in Hillwood Recital Hall starting at 3:30 pm.

National High School Classical Guitar Competition
The Competition entry deadline has been extended to April 1, 2018.
The Festival will again present its National High School Classical Guitar Competition, open to high school students of all 50 states. Find out more on the Guitar Competition page. Ria Modak, winner of the 2017 competition will be peforming at Festivall 2018 on Saturday, April 14 at 12:30 pm.

Long Island Guitar Festival Guitar Orchestra
The LIGF Guitar Orchestra for high school students and others returns to the Festival in 2018, conducted by Alan Hirsh. Visit the Guitar Orchestra page to find out more.

Master Classes for Guitarists and Performers
In 2018 the Long Island Guitar Festival continues its tradition of presenting excellence in guitar performance and pedagogy with master classes scheduled to be given by Denis Azabagic, Rene Izquierdo and the Newman & Oltman Duo. Ensemble Showcases
Through its history the Long Island Guitar Festival has featured ensembles representing high schools from the tri-state area and other states including Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. High School Guitar Ensemble Directors can learn more on the Ensemble Showcases page.

Tickets for Festival 2018 are available by mail using this Ticket Order Form. Tickets for select events are available through Ticketmaster and the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts Box Office. Tickets to all events will be available at the door.
