LIGF Guitar Orchestra

In 2018 the LIGF Guitar Orchestra for high school students and others returned to the Festival for its fourth year, conducted by Alan Hirsh.

The Orchestra met for two rehearsals then performed at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, April 15.

Guitar Orchestra repertoire for Festival 2018 included Into thin air (Alan Hirsh) and Concerto Grosso Op.3, No.8 (Antonio Vivaldi).

The 27th Long Island Guitar Festival will take place April 9–14, 2019. Among others, it will feature the US debut of UK guitarist Laura Snowden and the Leisner / Fernández Duo.
