Ensemble Showcases

As part of a continued commitment to excellence in guitar performace and pedagogy, throughout our history the Long Island Guitar Festival has featured high school guitar ensembles in our Ensemble Showcases. The purpose of these showcases has been to give young guitarists the opportunity to perform as well as take advantage of the learning opportunities the festival has to offer. Through the years these showcases have featured ensembles representing high schools from the tri-state area and other states including Virginia, North Carolina and Florida.

High School Guitar Ensembles appearing at Festival 2018 included: Bishop McGuinness High School Honors Guitar Ensemble (Kernersville, NC), Susan E. Wagner Advanced Guitar Ensemble (Staten Island, NY), Brentwood High School Guitar Ensemble (Brentwood, NY), Harlem School of the Arts Guitar Ensemble (New York, NY).
