Long Island Guitar Festival 2011

The 19th annual Long Island Guitar Festival was held April 13 to 17, 2011. Artists appearing at the Festival included: Paul O'Dette, Raphaella Smits, Eduardo Fernández, Gene Bertoncini and Harris Becker, Dale Stuckenbruck, Veronica Salas, James Erickson, Bishop McGuinness High School Guitar Ensemble, Brentwood High School Guitar Ensemble and Emerging Artist Julian Bogoya.

Sponsors for Festival 2011 included: The D'Addario Foundation for the Performing Arts, The Augustine Foundation, Savarez, Murphy's Music & Violin Shop, The John P. McGrath Fund of Long Island University and the C.W. Post Department of Music.

Watch for details about the 20th Annual Long Island Guitar Festival to be held April 16 to 22, 2012

Artists scheduled to appear at the 20th Anniversary Festival include LAGQ (Los Angeles Guitar Quartet), The Appassionata Trio, Benjamin Verdery, David Leisner and Carlo Domeniconi

Featured at the Festival will be the World Premiere of Concerto for Guitar & Violin/Saw with Guitar Orchestra by composer Alan Hirsh, celebrating the Festival's 20th year

Alert! Tickets for the LAGQ concert on April 22, 2012 are selling out quickly. They can be purchased through Tilles Center for the Performing Arts
