Ensemble Showcases

As part of a continued commitment to excellence in guitar performace and pedagogy, throughout our history the Long Island Guitar Festival has featured high school guitar ensembles in our Ensemble Showcases. The purpose of these showcases, which have featured ensembles representing high schools from the tri-state area and other states including Virginia, North Carolina and Florida, has been to give young guitarists the opportunity to perform as well as take advantage of the learning opportunities the festival has to offer.

High School groups scheduled to appear in this year's showcases include the Bishop McGuinness High School Honors Guitar Ensemble from Kernersville, NC, the Brentwood High School Guitar Club from Brentwood, NY, the Susan E. Wagner Guitar Ensemble from Staten Island, NY, the POBJFK Guitar Nation from Planview-Old Bethpage, NY and the Centreville High School Wildcat Guitar Ensemble from Clifton, VA.

High School Guitar Ensemble Directors who are interested in having their ensemble perform in a Long Island Guitar Festival Ensemble Showcase should send an email of inquiry to LIGFestival@aol.com.
