Ensemble Showcases

As part of a continued commitment to excellence in guitar performace and pedagogy, throughout our history the Long Island Guitar Festival has featured high school guitar ensembles in our Ensemble Showcases. The purpose of these showcases has been to give young guitarists the opportunity to perform as well as take advantage of the learning opportunities the festival has to offer. Through the years these showcases have featured ensembles representing high schools from the tri-state area and other states including Virginia, North Carolina and Florida,

High School groups which appeared in Festival 2016's showcases included the Bishop McGuinness High School Honors Guitar Ensemble from Kernersville, NC, the Brentwood High School Guitar Club from Brentwood, NY, the Susan E. Wagner Guitar Ensemble from Staten Island, NY, the POBJFK Guitar Nation from Planview-Old Bethpage, NY and the Harlem High School of the Arts Guitar Ensemble.
